Introduction

Welcome to Bull & Bear, the ultimate platform for investors and financial enthusiasts. Whether you are new to investing or a seasoned expert, Bull & Bear offers tools to explore financial markets, gain insights, and interact with a vibrant community of like-minded individuals.


Getting Started

Registration

To register:

  1. Open the app and click on Register.
  2. Enter a unique username, a valid email address, and a secure password.
    • Passwords must be at least 8 characters long, including one uppercase letter and one special character.
  3. Verify your email to activate your account.

Login

To log in:

  1. Enter your registered email and password on the Login Page.
  2. Click Login to access your account.

Using the Application

Community Page

The Community Page is your hub for exploring posts, profiles, and discussions.

Features:

  • Guest Users:
    • View posts.
    • Search for posts by keywords in title or tags.
    • Sort posts by the number of likes.
  • Registered Users:
    • Like and comment on posts.
    • Create and edit posts.
    • Follow and unfollow other users.

Actions:

  1. Navigate to the Community Page via the main menu.
  2. Search for posts using keywords or tags, and sort them by likes to find trending content.
  3. Click on a post to:
    • View the details.
    • Like or comment (requires login).

Markets Page

The Markets Page offers an overview of indices, stocks, and major companies.

Features:

  • View indices and their associated stocks.
  • Explore categories such as:
    • Stocks - Turkey
    • Stocks - USA
    • Biggest Companies

Actions:

  1. Navigate to the Markets Page via the main menu.
  2. Select an index to view the stocks within it.
  3. Explore detailed stock data.

News Page

Stay informed with the latest financial updates on the News Page.

Features:

  • View news categorized into:
    • Crypto Section
    • Finance Section
  • Browse articles tagged with relevant keywords for easy discovery.

Actions:

  1. Navigate to the News Page via the main menu.
  2. Browse articles in the Crypto or Finance sections with option of filtering with tags.
  3. Click on a news item to read the full story on original website.

Portfolio

Manage your investments effectively using the Portfolio feature.

Features:

  • View existing portfolios.
  • Add new portfolios by entering:
    • Stock names.
    • Purchase prices.
    • Quantities.

Actions:

  1. Navigate to the Portfolio section via the main menu.
  2. View your existing portfolios.
  3. Click Add Portfolio to create a new one.

Viewing and Managing Posts

  1. Go to the Community Page.
  2. Click on Create Post to:
    • Add a title, tags, and content.
    • Include optional graphs, portfolio data, or related news links.
  3. Publish your post for the community to view.

Advanced Features

Using Filters

Refine your search results with filters:

  • Sort posts by like.
  • Search posts by titles and tags.

Annotations

Enhance your posts with annotations:

  • Adding Annotations: Select a string in the body of a post to annotate when annotations are off.
  • Viewing Annotations: Turn on annotations to see highlighted text with notes on posts.

Creating Tags

  1. Users with the Cretager Badge can create unique tags.
  2. Tags must:
    • Be lowercase.
    • Not exceed 40 characters.
