The ground station is based on the TinyGS platform. This means any hardware that is compatible with TinyGS will work in the same way.
The following hardware was used
- ESP32 development board
- .96" OLED Display
- E32-400M30S 1W LoRa module
- E32-900M30S 1W LoRa module (This is for the 915Mhz Station. Everything for this station is the same except the LoRa Module)
- 1kΩ resistors
- M2 Egg beater Antenna
note: The pinout on the silkscreen did not match the pinout shown in the datasheet. Through the TinyGS telegram group I found out that the pinout on the datasheet is actually the correct one. They were also very helpful with other software related issues.
The diagram below clarifies the discrepancies between the pinout on the silkscreen and datasheet.

A PCB was designed and manufactured for the ground station. The KiCAD files can be found here
An Eggbeater Antenna from M2 was used for the 433Mhz Station
