⚠ Local alert update server - A Node.js server adapted for 64-bit versions of Windows that receives data on alerts provided by alerts.in.ua at a specified frequency with subsequent processing and display of notifications about the start and end of alerts in the regions of Ukraine selected for monitoring.

Recent changes:.
- Ensured that the configuration files and log file are backed up and restored from the backup during the update.

The installation procedure is as follows:

  • download the installer archive Alert_server_setup.zip;
  • extract the installer from the archive to the selected location;
  • run the Alert_server_setup.bat installer.

The installation will be performed in the location %userprofile%\Documents\Alert_Server, during the installation the availability of Git, Node.js and Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 will be checked and installed or update if necessary.

Actually, installation of the local alarm update server consists of importing the project from the GitHub repository and installing the necessary dependencies and shortcuts in the Start menu.

Disclaimer: testing and adaptation of the functionality was carried out on 64-bit versions of Windows 10 22H2 and 11 22H2. Features may be limited or unavailable on other platforms or versions of Windows. We recommend using Windows 10 version 22H2 or Windows 11 for the best experience. - Reduced the total number of batch scripts.

- Changed and improved the structure of the message file.

Recent changes:.
- The tray icon menu has been expanded with the View selected regions item to facilitate obtaining information about the selected objects for tracking, especially in case of a large number of them at different levels of the hierarchy;
- Files important for the program functioning are transferred to the working directory, which eliminates problems with cleaning the temporary files directory;
- Improved code readability by implementing a unified format for paths to external resources.

⚠ Local alert update server - A Node.js server adapted for 64-bit versions of Windows that receives data on alerts provided by alerts.in.ua at a specified frequency with subsequent processing and display of notifications about the start and end of alerts in the regions of Ukraine selected for monitoring.

The possibility of fully automated installation has been implemented at the moment. The installer is made in a minimalist version using Batch scripts and PowerShell.

The procedure is as follows:

  • download the installer archive Alert_server_setup.zip available here: Latest release;
  • extract the installer from the archive to the selected location;
  • run the Alert_server_setup.bat installer.

The installation will be performed in the location %userprofile%\Documents\Alert_Server, during the installation the availability of Git, Node.js and Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 will be checked and installed or update if necessary.

The code is open source, no compiled files are used.

- Added an updated structure of territorial units for tracking, available levels: regions, districts, communities, cities;
- Reduced the number of calls to the file system, optimized tray icon status update;
- Added a fuse for multiple simultaneous audio notifications;
- Implemented the ability to automatically recover in case of inaccessibility of important project files.
