These changes let you specify exact output dimensions in pixels or density-independent pixels (given a target screen DPI) when rendering with Inkscape.

The added property groups are:

  • width-px and height-px
  • width-dp, height-dp, and screen-dpi

I couldn't find a way to do something similar for Illustrator using AppleScript, unfortunately.

This change allows you to use 'width-dp' and 'height-dp' properties
to specify density-independent pixel dimensions targeting specific
screen DPIs ('screen-dpi').

Any thoughts? I might be able to get it to work for Illustrator by calculating the scaling amount, but the dimensions could end up slightly off because there's no way to specify exact output dimensions (none that I could find in the Illustrator scripting docs, at least).

I'm also thinking that it might be useful to put the backends into their own file, possibly making them into classes?
