Updated to Wine-GE Proton8-8.
This is a WINE release, not proton. It is based on proton-wine from valve, but is de-protonified a bit to work as a normal wine build. GE patches are from GloriousEggroll, and XIV patches are from the XIVLauncher team.
FSR patches are no longer included. GE hasn't rebased those patches, and it is completely beyond my ability to do it. if you need that functionality you'll have to use gamescope, or use one of the xiv-Proton7 releases.
Proton 8 is much different from Proton 7. If you have just upgraded from Wine 7 or Proton 7 and are having crashes, try deleting ~/.xlcore/wineprefix
