Sorry @schoeberl, but I went for the prebuilt riscv-none-elf from Xpack since the gcc-riscv64-unknown-elf did not include the C libraries that we need. The Xpack version is well documented and supported on Linux/macOS/Win. Here is a brief discussion on it: riscv-collab/riscv-gnu-toolchain#1425
