Post Import Maintenance

It is highly advisable to update database statistics in the Alfresco database as soon as possible after completing an import. For large imports (say, of a million documents or more), it may be advisable to update the database statistics regularly throughout the import as well. This should be done with the import paused, to avoid interference between the import and the database maintenance operations.

The commands to accomplish this are database specific - consult an experienced DBA for your specific make & model of database for details and further database tuning advice.
