styling: miscellaneous tweaks to feed

In today's pairing with @OgDev-01 and @isabensusan, a couple tweaks for the feed were mentioned.

Too much padding at the top of the feed below the main navigation and cards weren't fully expanded in the feed to take up as much room as possible.
