Let ring works but not as expected (for MS Basic Sounds). It should allow the note to ring on until the end of the let ring line. Instead, the note appears to be sustained for a set (short) time and then stops. An arpeggio with a let ring line - you'll only hear the last few notes sustaining at the end of the arpeggio.
It also seems to allow notes to ring on beyond the end of the let ring line if the last note is long - suggesting that each note is sustained by a additional fraction of its length, rather than by the length of the let ring line.
Steps to reproduce
enter a sequence of notes over several bars - use an MS basic sound (e.g. acoustic guitar)
select the notes
assign a 'let ring' line (lines->let ring) to the notes
playback
the notes are sustained for a short time but not all the way until the end of the 'let ring' line - they stop playback quite quickly
if the last note in the let ring line is long, followed by a non-let-ring note, then the note rings on into the new note.
