Issue type

Muse Sounds bug

Bug description

When Muse Sounds are used to playback a melody with a let-ring line, the notes are not sustained. The Let Ring line appears to have no effect on the Muse Sounds.

Steps to reproduce

  1. choose a muse sound instrument
  2. enter a sequence of notes
  3. assign a 'let ring' line to the notes
  4. playback
  5. notes are not affected by the let ring line

Adding on to this issue: It appears this is happening on Mac as well.

I can confirm that Let Ring (MIDI sustain?) is not working with Muse Guitars on MacOS, MuseScore 4.2.1

Relevant .org links:

Though this strikes me as a significant issue, but I don't see it assigned to the 4.3 or 4.4 project. Anyone know if it's there?

I don't see any "let ring" text as well, or are you referring to typing it manually? I would love for this to be added.

"Let ring" is currently in the lines palette.

Can confirm this is still not working for Muse Sounds in 4.3.2 - no sustain is added at all
OS: Windows 10 Version 2009 or later, Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore Studio version (64-bit): 4.3.2-241630831, revision: github-musescore-musescore-22b46f2

Additionally, Let Ring does not sustain properly for MS Basic sounds - see issue #20992

This *still* is not working for Muse Sounds in 4.4.1, none of the sounds in "Muse Guitars Vol. 1" are sustained when paired with the "let ring" line (or even a pedal line).
OS: Windows 11 Home Version 23H2, Ubuntu Studio 24.04.1 LTS (both 64-bit)
Musescore Studio: 4.4.1-242490810, revision: github-musescore-musescore-0b3dd00
Steps to reproduce are the same as OP

I'm popping this in 4.5, since the issue is really problematic for our guitar Muse Sounds and it's pretty silly that it still doesn't work.
