@Andromedanita - not quite sure why you'd like to merge this. Note that I split the original ephemeris.py in two parts, pulsar.py and barycentre.py. Could you remove the parts that are duplicated and just import them? If your goal is mostly to test the emphemeris, then maybe resubmit as a patch with a test_b1957.py or something similar.
