This release significantly improves over the previous generation scripts and is recommended. This release marks all previous generations of the script (v1.x.x) as “legacy”. Changes include:

  • Vastly improved console output structure
  • Better console messages
  • Vastly improved backup system
  • Ability to check if system is patched
  • Advanced options for third-party developer integrations
  • Backup update system
  • Manifest for SHAsum and system versions
  • Restructured support directory
  • Better System Integrity Protection checks (allows SIP without kext signing)
  • Auto-management of incompatible older script installs
  • Ability to check script version
  • Update to Thunderbolt version check

NVIDIA eGPU support for macOS 10.13.4 under investigation/development.
