A PR with similar changes has been submitted before to sqjin/CellChat#679 to help with the reproducibility of UMAP plots when running the
netEmbedding
function.The PR adds a
seed
paramter to thenetEmbedding
function to allow generating reproducible UMAPs, as requested in sqjin/CellChat#155, sqjin/CellChat#196 and sqjin/CellChat#435. This works on bothumap-learn
anduwot
methods. The default setting isseed = 42
. One can useseed = NULL
to reset and produce a different set of embeddings.
