Cosmic-Web-Classification-using-the-HessianMatrix

Python function used to CosmicWebClassification using the Hessian Matrix of the gravitational potential

Example:

As an example, we applied our Cosmic-Web-Classification function to the density field of IllustrisTNG100-1 simulation with a 1024^3 mesh. Parameters used here are:

  • L_box = 75.0 # Mpc/h
  • Nmesh = 1024
  • smoothing_scale = 2 # Mpc/h
  • lambda_th = 0.3

The slice of the density field and its corresponding classification field are shown below.
