content="Le Baromètre de la science ouverte (BSO) est l’outil d’accompagnement de la politique nationale de science ouverte.
Son originalité réside dans son approche ouverte, sans recours aux sources propriétaires, incompatibles avec le partage de données, la création de services ouverts et la valorisation de la diversité de la production scientifique française.
Les métadonnées nécessaires à la construction du BSO mais non disponibles directement dans les sources ont été estimées par des techniques d’apprentissage automatique, en particulier pour les affiliations et les champs disciplinaires.
En proposant du code, des données et des services ouverts, le BSO a contribué à la mise en place de dizaines de déclinaisons locales (établissements, laboratoires).
En 2021, une refonte complète du site https://barometredelascienceouverte.esr.gouv.fr/ a été réalisée pour à la fois toucher un public plus large et aussi fournir des indicateurs plus détaillés.
D’abord centré sur la problématique de l’accès ouvert aux publications, le BSO étend son périmètre d'analyse en fonction de la politique publique menée, notamment en santé avec le suivi de l’ouverture des essais cliniques, et bientôt avec les codes et données de la recherche.">
