FFmpegKit
build scripts support the following host environments.
FFmpegKit Library | Host | Support |
---|---|---|
Android | Linux | Yes |
Android | macOS | Yes |
Android | Windows | No* |
iOS | macOS | Yes |
Linux | Linux | Yes |
macOS | macOS | Yes |
tvOS | macOS | Yes |
(*) Building FFmpegKit
Android library on Windows
is not officially supported. The last time we attempted this, some external libraries were not compatible with Windows Subsystem for Linux
. Additionally, the effort required to patch and maintain them was substantial. Furthermore, there isn't a standard package manager on Windows
, which made installing the prerequisites for Android problematic. Therefore, we have decided against supporting it. If you use Windows
as the host, you may encounter build errors.
