Here's a first draft of my translation into Portuguese.

I have attached the file gdb-pt.warc.zip which is a Web ARChive of what the translation looks like. You will need to extract the file gdb-pt.warc and then put it into https://replayweb.page to view the Web ARChive.

To do before merge:

  • Fix merge conflicts
  • Review translation
  • Add translation for Am I trans? which I somehow missed entirely. (perhaps it didn't exist when I started translating?)
  • Fix post dates for the Portuguese translation.
  • Fix glossary CSS for print mode.

Notes about the translation:

  1. I added info specifically about the situation in Brazil in Diagnosticando Disforia de Gênero (Diagnosing Gender Dysphoria) and Tratando Disforia de Gênero (Treating Gender Dysphoria).
  2. I commented on how the Brazilian Federal Medicine Council (CFM) changed its definition of transsexualism [sic] over time.
  3. I summarized the current rules of CFM for gender affirming care.
  4. I inserted myself on Intro. Segunda Puberdade Estrogênica (Estrogenic Second Puberty 101). Where it said “including by yours truly” it became “incluindo a autora e a tradutora desse documento” (including the author-♀ and the translator-♀ of this document). (the -♀ notation means that the original word was of the feminine gramatical gender)
  5. In some places I replaced the -sexual and -philic suffixes with -afetiv(o/a/e) which encompass both sexual and romantic love. E.g. gynosexual became ginoafetiva instead of ginofílica. E.g. monosexual became monoafetiva.
  6. I added a blåhaj joke on the glossary: “Ex: comprar um blåhaj não vai te transificar” (e.g. buying a blåhaj won't trans you)

Gothic A1 does not support accented characters which are necessary
for Portuguese and Spanish.

This is gonna take me a while to review, since you've made changes to the build system (which, btw, I've started rewriting entirely).

How long? It it's going to take weeks, it might be better for me to make a new pull request that includes pretty much only the translation while touching as little as possible on other stuff.

That would be more expedient if you could separate it into two separate PRs. My free time is pretty limited these days.

@gjvnq can you rebase this branch so it's reduced to what's remaining?
