Chan-Vese Model

A brief review of the Chan-Vese model introduced in the paper Active Contours Without Edges by T. Chan and L. Vese, based on the Mumford–Shah functional using a powerful mathematical backbone, the level set method. Work done as part of the Seminar "Groundbreaking Ideas in Image Analysis" by Prof. Joachim Weickert in the Universität des Saarlandes.

  • The slides under latex-slides were made using CNU's Beamer Template.
  • The report under latex-report was made using the IEEE Transactions on Image Processing LaTeX template, developed by the IEEE Publication Technology Department, distributed under the LaTeX Project Public License (LPPL) version 1.3. A copy of the LPPL, version 1.3, is included in the base LaTeX documentation of all distributions of LaTeX released 2003/12/01 or later. The opinions expressed here are entirely that of the author.
