📝 Walkthrough

Walkthrough

The changes enhance the Aggregator class by introducing a new constant for message receive timeouts and refactoring the handling of price and proof data messages. New helper methods are created for storing and processing these messages, improving the clarity and maintainability of the code. Additionally, goroutines are implemented to manage timeouts for message processing, with enhanced logging for better debugging.

Changes

Files Change Summary
node/pkg/aggregator/aggregator.go Added constants and methods for handling price and proof data messages, including timeout logic and refactoring of existing methods.

Possibly related PRs

  • (Node) Add more logs #2291: This PR modifies the HandleTriggerMessage and HandlePriceFixMessage functions in the Aggregator class, which are directly related to the changes made in the main PR that also involves the Aggregator class and its message handling methods.

Poem

🐇 In the land of code where bunnies play,
New methods hop in, brightening the day.
With timeouts and helpers, they dance and they twirl,
Making message handling a smoother swirl.
So let’s celebrate this agile delight,
For our Aggregator shines ever so bright! 🌟

  • PR comments: Tag @coderabbitai in a new PR comment to ask questions about the PR branch. For the best results, please provide a very specific query, as very limited context is provided in this mode. Examples:
    • @coderabbitai gather interesting stats about this repository and render them as a table. Additionally, render a pie chart showing the language distribution in the codebase.
    • @coderabbitai read src/utils.ts and generate unit testing code.
    • @coderabbitai read the files in the src/scheduler package and generate a class diagram using mermaid and a README in the markdown format.
    • @coderabbitai help me debug CodeRabbit configuration file.

Note: Be mindful of the bot's finite context window. It's strongly recommended to break down tasks such as reading entire modules into smaller chunks. For a focused discussion, use review comments to chat about specific files and their changes, instead of using the PR comments.

170-181: Verify the correctness of message count conditions

The conditions len(n.roundPrices.prices[priceDataMessage.RoundID]) == n.Raft.SubscribersCount()+1 and len(n.roundProofs.proofs[proofMessage.RoundID]) == n.Raft.SubscribersCount()+1 check if all messages have been received for the round. Verify that adding +1 accurately reflects the total expected number of messages, considering whether SubscribersCount() includes the current node or only the peers.

Run the following script to examine the usage of SubscribersCount and confirm its implementation:

#!/bin/bash
# Description: Verify how SubscribersCount() is used in the codebase.

# Test: Search for all usages of SubscribersCount to understand if it includes the current node.
rg --type go 'SubscribersCount\(\)'
