Upgrade priority: HIGH for Shibuya, LOW for Shiden/Astar

Description

Relaychain for Shibuya test network was relaunched.
All Shibuya node operators need to upgrade node version in order to sync the latest block and produce blocks.

Disclaimer
The main reason of this release is patching Shibuya block production issue alongside with small feature additions.
Majority of changes are included in v4.29.1, Please make sure to check node upgrade notices mentioned in v4.29.1 release note.

⚠️ This release includes client DB migration & breaking change.

Client DB migration
frontier (EVM compatibility layer) DB migration

  • Highly recommended for collator node operators to take DB backup before upgrading.
  • Highly recommended for RPC endpoint operators to upgrade node one by one not to affect your service, since migration tasks time.
  • It depends on machine spec, migration takes ~2 mins if your machine meets collator requirements.
  • In case of error during migration, please delete the frontier DB folder {base-path}/chains/shiden/frontier or {base-path}/chains/astar/frontier and restart the node.

Breaking change

  • --parachain-id arg in node run command was abolished.

  • substrate base version uplift to polkadot-v0.9.30.
  • partial fee burning (20%) is introduced into Astar runtime

This release revert the wasmtime stack size halving that prevented to sync some blocks.
It is also necessary to any node syncing from scratch.
