Same patch applied on top of 0.6.1 seemed to work (SM8550), can't test this branch due to app incompatibility though.
This should be more power-efficient than running ViPER on the CPU.
In order to build this, one will need Hexagon SDK (can be downloaded for free from Qualcomm).
