- Technical - Explicit Telecommuting
- Explicit Telecommuting
- Number of non-mandatory tours
- workers who are telecommuting have different NM tour frequency than workers who are not working on the survey day
- SANDAG HTS - NM Tours: telecommuters = 1 tour; workers not working = 1.2 hours
- If not separated, than NM tours would be blended for average of 1.1 tours
- By keeping them blended, we would overpredict number of tours if share of telecommuters increased in comparison to workers not working, but not by too much
- Workers not working make longer duration NM tours and travel farther (more VMT) than telecommuters
- Current model blends duration and VMT between telecommuters and workers not working
- 6% difference in what the groups produce in regards to VMT; 3.4 vs. 3.6 million VMT (unclear what ~.2 million is as percentage of overall VMT)
- Current model blends duration and VMT between telecommuters and workers not working
- workers who are telecommuting have different NM tour frequency than workers who are not working on the survey day
- Consortium members will digest information and make a decision on how to move forward.
