The project is only aiming for learning purpose. There is no big difference on these tools. As a learner, I used to waste time on comparing different frameworks, which is bad. Actually, this project was using MySQL initially. But in order to deploy it on Heroku, I migrated it to PostgreSQL, since Heroku has better support on PostgreSQL.
Feel free to make your own changes to migrate it to different frameworks. 😃

Thank you for such a quick reply. I have gained a lot. I thought I could not run this project directly on ubuntu, hibernate failed to map normally
