unlink: Hitting ratelimit on batch operations

At least for non-admins, it's really easy to hit the rate limit on batch operations such as unlink (probably because we can't mark our edits as bot). IIRC once I was unlinking a page that had less than 100 links and I had to do it multiple times because of the ratelimit.
Could there be a delay between each operation or something? Thanks.
