Description:
Screen sharing does not work in Google Meet. There is no OS prompt, only an error within Google Meet:
Can't share your screen
You must grant permission in order to share your screen.
I want this to work with the Google Chrome engine, but I've also tried the webkit engine (not even mic/camera work, see #16 ) and the Brave engine, all in Standard mode.
Steps to Reproduce:
Create new Google Meet app from the catalog. Choose Google Chrome engine.
Open app and start a meeting.
Click Present Now and choose any of the three options, for example Your entire screen.
Error is shown.
Additional Context
macOS requires the application has Screen Recording permission in System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy > Screen Recording, which I have granted to both Google Chrome and Brave. Google Meet functions correctly in the native browser apps.
