Winlator

Winlator is an Android application that lets you run Windows (x86_64) applications and games with Wine and Box86/Box64.

Installation

1. Download and install the APK (Winlator_latest_version.apk) from here

2. Launch the app

3. Wait for the installation process to finish

Useful Tips

• If you are experiencing performance issues, try changing the Box64 preset to Performance (Gaming Mode) in Container Settings -> Advanced Tab.
• For applications that use .NET Framework, try installing Wine Mono found in Start Menu -> System Tools. Which may potentially improve game performance
• If some older games don't open, try adding the environment variable MESA_EXTENSION_MAX_YEAR=2003 in Container Settings -> Environment Variables. Fix game launch and crash issues
• Try running the games using the shortcut on the Winlator home screen, there you can define individual settings for each game.
• To display low resolution games correctly, try to enabling the Force Fullscreen option in the shortcut settings -> Advanced Tab.
• To improve stability in games that uses Unity Engine, try changing the Box64 preset to Stability (Unity Games) or in the shortcut settings -> Advanced Tab, add the exec argument -force-gfx-direct.

Information

This project has been in constant development since version 1.0, the current app is up to version 7.1, I do not shared or update this repository frequently precisely to avoid unofficial releases before the official releases of Winlator.

Minimum System Requirements (WB64 Devel):

• OS (Operating System): Android 9.0 or later
• Processor/CPU (Central Processing Unit): Qualcomm Snapdragon 460 or higher
• GPU (Graphics Processing Unit): Adreno 610 or higher
• Graphics API (Application Programming Interface): Vulkan 1.1 or higher
• Internal Storage/ROM (Read-Only Memory): At least 2GB of free space
• RAM (Random Access Memory): At least 1GB of free RAM available, depending on the game requirments
• Root Access: Not required
• Gamepad: Optional (xinput/xbox recommended)

NOTE: Recommended for game titles released before 2012 or DX9-based, Some games especially those from 2012 onwards, may experience performance issues. Results can vary based on the device used, environmental conditions, and other factors, such as simultaneous processing, and different processor capabilities.
