What is allowUnknownFields?

Should I take into account that sometimes "allowUnknownFields" would be set to true even though it seems to always be false? The field config is the only way that operators "equal" vs "select_equals" can be recognized from each other in jsonlogic. "Allowing" unknown fields would make this impossible as far as i can tell.

The place in jsonlogic import where those 2 operators are seperated from each other.
