Issues with Firefox not interrupting the download

Yes, I have tried everything mentioned here.

But every now and then the download gets downloaded TWICE - once by FF and again by uGet. It's very inconsistent, tried a numerous range of options in the browser plugin, but nothing seems to make it work 100%.

I tried another download manager: Persepolis DM - that even puts the JSON file (the UMH) into the user directory on it's own during it's launch, uGet doesn't do that. Persepolis doesn't seem to suffer from this issue, so my guess is that there is an issue with uGet browser plugin not working correctly. But Persepolis doesn't have all the bells and whistles that uGet has, so I would prefer to use that.

Also noticed that this repo hasn't been updated in at least six years - so I'm guessing the original author has abandoned it?
