admin-ui is no longer appearing in hosted Flex instance after disabling and enabling main plugin

I'm having a problem I just can't seem to figure out. I disabled the flex-project-template plugin in my hosted Flex account to try some of the plugins from the plugin library (to avoid conflicts in one of the plugins which was causing an issue).

When I enable the flex-project-template plugin again, the admin-ui icon is gone from the left side of the agent desktop. I tried deploying the code locally and also grabbed all the current code and tried deploying that locally in a separate program to my hosted flex instance, yet nothing will show the admin-ui once enabled. I know by default it doesn't show locally when I run the plugin, but it also no longer shows in my hosted Flex.

I'm just at a loss as to why it just stopped working. Since I can no longer see the admin-ui, I can't enable or disable individual features. I can replace some of them with plugins from the plugin library, but not all.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!

I was able to get the admin-ui back by doing another deploy from GitHub (with all workflow options disabled). I'm still curious about what caused the admin-ui to disappear and if there's a way to get it back (if it happens again).
