Hi everyone,

I would like to confirm an observation: it appears that ‘Recent Files’ does not list files created by plugins, such as Hypothes.is. Is this the case?

If so, should the plugin be extended to include these files as well?

Here’s my use case: after highlighting files on the web using Hypothes.is, I often want to verify that the highlights have been synchronized with my Obsidian vault. Finding the actual file can be tedious because it is buried in a deep folder structure.

I haven’t looked at the source code, so I’m not sure how easy it would be to implement this feature.

Thank you for your feedback.

Recent files only considers files that are opened in Obsidian and trigger the file-open event.

I'm not familiar with Hypothes.is. Does it create files that you open in Obsidian? What type of file is it?

It makes sense that Recent files only considers files that have been opened by file-open.

hypothes.is is a tool to create highlights and annotations on Web pages. These annotations are publicly available for everyone to see or privately shared by a group. The Obsidian plugin saves these annotations as markdown files in the users' vault. In my workflow, I would often go through the synchronized files and link them to existing notes.
