Just to not be missed there - the same as in te-online/files_linkeditor#72
Thanks :-)

Just a quick update on this:

I've started the process on my other app files_linkeditor and I ran into some issues.

  1. I don't want to remove protection from the default branch
  2. I don't want to create a new organization for my apps
  3. I don't want to move my apps to the nextcloud organization

It seems like one of the above needs to be true – and I can't do any of them right now.

However, I think I may be able to rename my default branch to something other than main and I may be able to protect it.

I'll see how it goes there and then kick off the process here.

Great news it started!

Even, as not knowledgable, not understand fully regarding your concerns removing branch protection (all dozens of Nextcloud apps, translated trough this workflow, has it removed and it seems to not be problem), they are respected and wish you to success with alternate solution you mentioned. Just don't be shy to consult them in comments below your issue in Nextcloud docker-ci repo - there certainly could be solution-compromise (or provided trust trough explanation, that without branch protection in this case is fine?) found.

Thanks for all your effort :-)
