Using proxies error

Hi, I'm a bit confused with something.

I would like to use proxies during the connection.
I stored the proxies in a txt file and randomly I choose one.

found_proxy = self.proxy(proxy_list_location=self.proxy_list_location)
self.session = Client(delay_range=[min, max], proxy='http://'+found_proxy)
settings_path = self.find_settings_file('settings.json')
self.session.load_settings(path=settings_path)
logged_in = self.session.login(username=username, password=password)

The login is succesfull but after that when I try to do something for example follow a user I got the following error:

Please check proxy URL. It is malformed and could be missing the host.

My proxy formatted like this: http://user:[email protected]:12009

What could be the problem?

So I'm a bit confused and I show you why, maybe you have some idea.

I have the following code for testing purposes:

# the proxy method choose one working proxy randomly from the given file
proxy = proxy('/affy_proxies.txt')
proxy_formatted = f'http://{proxy}'

print(proxy_formatted)

cl = Client(proxy=proxy_formatted)
cl.login('username', 'password')
user_id = cl.user_id_from_username("adw0rd")
print(user_id)

And I got this error trace:

Or the error what I mentioned before: Please check proxy URL. It is malformed and could be missing the host.
Or rare times I can login.

If I do everything without the proxy I can login without any error.
The proxy should have working I test it before chooseing one from the list like this:

# part of the proxy() method
proxy_handler = urllib.request.ProxyHandler({'http': proxy})
opener = urllib.request.build_opener(proxy_handler)
opener.open('https://i.instagram.com')

and return the proxy to the main script if it can open the instagram site.

So I'm a bit confused what is really happening here, because I got different errors and messages

1; Proxy malformed
2; The username you enetered not belong to an account
3; Login success and it is working.

• How can I get proxy malformed error if all my proxies has the same formatting?
• How can I got the username error message if I log in without proxy with same data is okay, or sometimes even with the proxy is okay?

All these errors are not Instagrapi problem!

What about the second error, your proxy is blocking instagram, try to look for a solution:
