Updated to iOS 8.1 only to find Brushes app is broken #37
Comments
@Bradg1 Have you seen the discussion in issue #33? Long story short, there is a fix, but @sprang needs to merge and release it to the App Store. As an alternative you can use the Brushes Redux #33 (comment), which includes the fix directly. But I think then you'll have to migrate your paintings. |
@blindgaenger I did see the discussion in issue #33. While I have Brushes Redux now, the migration of past paintings/animation progress is the difficulty. Any ideas if the proprietary files from the Brushes app can be found on a Windows (PC) OS? Thanks |
@Bradg1 There is a PC version for iExplorer, which has been reported to work. But I haven't tried it myself. Good luck! :) |
Any updates? My dad is an avid Brushes user and he was worried he lost about 60 of his paintings that he had done on Brushes after he updated to iOS 8.1. Apparently he is not able to save new paintings also.. |
I recently wanted to work on one of the digital paintings created through the Brushes app on my iPhone 5s and for each previously created painting the message dialog appears, "Could Not Open Painting","There was a problem opening ". As well, the app initially allows me to create a new painting and use the brush tools etc., but that newly created painting cannot be accessed either similar to the previous ones.
Please contact me with an update as to when a fix for this app will be released. Thank You.
