I (user name ThePythonicCow) managed to get a substantial
set of pull requests accepted into riofs in early 2017, however
the project owner was already "moving on" to other stuff.
I've not seen any significant sign of life in riofs since, and I
ended up reworking my project to no longer rely on AWS at
all, so no longer had interest in riofs myself, either.

Hello, unfortunately I don't have much time to maintain this project. |
Thanks for the update, Paul Jonkins.
Your advice to those currently interested in riofs,
to fork and carry on, seems like good advice to me.
Thanks for a neat piece of software.

Please update the project's README.md to state that RioFS cannot mount AWS S3 buckets so that people do not attempt to use it.
