Archive file format

At the moment, the output file doesn't have its final format. Because this archive file format is an essential part of the project, it's open for discussion. There's a wiki page with drafts for all parts of the format and a Gitter chat room where things can be discussed.

Is there any reason why not basing it on FreeArc with backward compatibility?
Thinking future proof - the archivers which are used the most, are the most developed and vise-versa.
The archivers that survives the long run should be double looked.

I'm not sure but I think FreeArc is based on the ancient arc?

What are the pros/cons on using it for fairytale?
