Here's my rough plan.

  • Add an example where one leverages multiple APIs. In this case, landings data + species taxonomic information (taxize) + distribution records (gbif). Then you implement reml and data deposition to figshare.
  • Will add some generic examples of reshaping data from wide to long. maybe cleaning messy data. @schamberlain if you've got an real example data that needs taxonomic name checking, would you please share into the data folder?
  • Finally, do you think it would be worth going over slides from here? Old (2 years) but still quite relevant. Covers basic workflow, best practices for beginners.
