Parecería que el llamado a plt.figure() no se pasa al notebook.

Lo mismo sucede en los histogramas de randomwalks.jl

Modifiqué la estructura del paquete y ya no hay llamado a PyPlot (salvo porque está en REQUIRE). El error ahora es:

ERROR: plt not defined

a15557c resueulve #6. Parece que usar plt. no es buena idea en Julia 0.4 (hay un tema de compatibilidad con PyCall, se debería de usar la notación [:atributo]) pero llamar directamente a las funciones funciona.
