1.2.1: Room doesn't work at all #7
Comments
Hey. What version of unity and Wwise are you using? I have tryed several Combinations but none of them are working. |
Actually, we are using Unity 2017.4 and Wwise 2017.2.4. |
Same Problem, pretty much the same set up (2018.1.5f1 for Unity and Wwise 2018.1.3 for Wwise). Any ideas ? |
Same issue for me on Unity 2017.3.1p4 and Wwise 2017.2.9. Room Effects bus is silent when inside room, however sometimes when I disconnect and reconnect wwise remote profiler from unity the reverb does render for a very short moment. Through this I am able to verify that my room properties are being configured and read by wwise since these short bursts of sound reflect my changes in unity editor. Removed the unity integration scripts from ResonanceAudioForWwise_1.2.1.zip and switched to 1.2.0 and is working fine now. |
@LilAudioR any luck?? |
@anokta, we need your help :) |
Hi, Please note that the latest stable version of Resonance Audio is now directly bundled in Wwise Launcher, which is maintained by the Audiokinetic team (see PLUG-INS panel in the launcher for installation). That said, we no longer release further version updates through this repository. Could you verify if the issue persists when you install the plugin via Wwise Launcher? FYI, I would recommend to clean up the manual copying steps in your Wwise installation first to avoid potential conflicts with the new automated integration. |
Hi Alper,
Here is what I am trying to do, sorry a newbie here!
Using Unity 2018.3.3f1 and Wwise 2018.1.7.6880 on Windows 10
Installed Resonance audio SDK 2019.1.0.5 plugin using Wwise launcher.
Created a Unity project and integrated it with Wwise using Wwise launcher.
Setup the Wwise project as per instructions given here
https://resonance-audio.github.io/resonance-audio/develop/wwise/getting-started.html
Dowloaded the Resonance audio SDK v1.2.1 from
https://github.com/resonance-audio/resonance-audio-wwise-sdk/releases
Copied Resonance Audio folder from
*ResonanceAudioForWwise_1.2.1.zip\UnityIntegration\Assets* to the Assets
folder in Unity.
Copied ResonanceAudioFX.dll from
*ResonanceAudioForWwise_1.2.1.zip\SDK\x64_vc140\Profile\bin* to
*Assets\Wwise\Deployment\Plugins\Windows\x86_64\DSP*
Stiil getting these errors.

*Question:*
What all do I need to copy from Resonance audio SDK v1.2.1 folder to the
Unity assets folder? (I think I am missing on something here).
I tried for WIn x64 so i copied
ResonanceAudioFX.dll from
*ResonanceAudioForWwise_1.2.1.zip\SDK\x64_vc140\Profile\bin* to
*Assets\Wwise\Deployment\Plugins\Windows\x86_64\DSP*
Any help would be appreciated.

I had the same trouble to load the "dynamic libary" ResonanceAudio.
But the sound plays |
Hi, did you manage to solve this?

I fixed it kind of by renaming the ResonanceAudioFX.dll in
ResonanceAudio.dll and additonal xml file.
Which get copied in to the DSP Folder of the Unity Wwise integration
This removed the error and it worked some how.
"But i get errros:

plug-in is compatible with this > version of Wwise"
But the sound plays

Kind of. I get the sound from wwise and somehow spatialized.
But i am not sure if everything works correctly as the implentation in wwise and unity isn't much documented |
After upgrading to 1.2.1 my rooms don't work. I hear my sounds, but they won't be affected by the plugin. When I downgrade back to 1.2.0 everything work as expected.
