Hi there - yes it does read the barcode on DigiKey packaging, in order to import parts. At least, to my recollection that's supposed to be there. You can try scanning the barcode in the "Order Import" page, or by entering the Order# and selecting DigiKey as the supplier. It should then show you all the parts and give you the option to import. Do you have a DigiKey api key configured? |

2.2.2 is not working for me. I get a localhost cannot connect error. To check I reinstalled 2.2.1 and it works as before. I am using win10. |

yep. I had it reported by someone else in Issue #98 - v2.2.3 is building deploying right now and I'll delete v2.2.2 as a bad release. Apologies, there is no test pipeline on this project yet to prevent these kind of issues, but it's on the todo list! :-/ |

New problem. When I change the settings for the Integrations, they won’t save. I make changes, scroll to the bottom of the Settings page and click Save then leave and come back and nothing I entered is there. The “System Settings Were Saved” dialog pops up but no joy.
Tim.

Thanks, my changes to Settings are now saved. However, I still am having no luck with Digikey barcode scanning. Maybe I don’t understand how it is supposed to work? Here are the steps that I am taking:
1. Verified that Port 8090 is open on my network
2. Set Port Forwarding to my PC’s IP address
3. In Binner: Disable Swarm Support since I only want to search Digikey.
4. Enable Digikey Support
5. Provide the Client Key for the Binner production app I registered in my user account
6. Provide the Client Secret for the Binner production app
7. Copied the callback URL that Digikey provided into Binner.
8. Saved Settings
9. Clicked Add Inventory
10. Clicked the Bulk Scan button
11. Scanned Barcode from a Digikey IC package
12. Binner waits with nonstop swirlie
What am I missing?
Thanks, Tim

I see the issue. It's failing to show validation errors in the UI. For the moment until I patch this shortly, it should work if you fill out the color field for each of the printer lines. Looks like it's not allowing empty values, but a value such as #000000 should work.

Seems there is still quite a lot of QA work to do since we back-ported the binner.io <https://binner.io> implementation to the open source version.

Update: It appears to be a firewall issue. After I shutoff my firewall, I did get an error message back from Digikey. I need to spend sometime to figure what is causing it but at least the connection is working.

Update: I am getting an “invalid Client ID” error message from Digikey. I verified the ID I entered in Binner matches the ID provided by Digikey. I don’t think I have any way to troubleshoot this.

After a bit more debugging, I found I had copy and pasted a leading space for both the ClientID and the Client Secret. Once those were removed I scanned a barcode and I get a error: Invalid redirection uri (my public ip):8090/Authorization/Authorize.

No I hadn’t seen the wiki but I am reviewing it now.
FYI – When you hover over the Postback URL, the help message occurs conflicts with what the wiki says.

I really, really want to use this software but I cannot make it work. I read the wiki, edited the json files (appsettings and appsettings.Production). I set "https://localhost:8090/Authorization/Authorize” for my url, both in Binner and on the Digikey API site.
I have run out of things to try. I am not internet app savvy but I am no fool and will continue to try if you are willing to stick with me.

One thing to try first is on the Order Import page to try entering an Order # manually (without the barcode scanner) and see if you get a list of parts show up. As an example, here's one of mine:
<https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/2531058/218593069-f7ee629c-f3ab-4cb5-82f9-c2ed2706cbfe.png>
And on Digikey where I got the order number from:
<https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/2531058/218593386-847cf8f5-974f-47a6-9386-3cc3f2bec120.png>
I'm going to dust off my barcode scanner and try it on various pages to see what is supported. I wrote that stuff 2 years ago and haven't touched it since ;)

If you like and are comfortable with it, one thing we can try is sharing your screen/computer via RDP or VNC and I can try to determine what the issue is. I tried a clean install on my own machine, disabled the swarm api, put in my api keys for DigiKey and it just worked for me.

I am new to your software and I was hoping it could read the barcode on Digikey packaging then use that to access their data and return that to Binner. and then populate the DB. It doesn't seem that is how it works -- or at least I can't seem to make it work that way.
