Two Docker images we utilize are created by the Rocker Project. You can find more information about them at the following links: https://rocker-project.org/ and https://journal.r-project.org/archive/2020/RJ-2020-007/RJ-2020-007.pdf.
For the rocker/geospatial, which is based on rocker/rstudio and includes most of the packages, you can run it directly from the Docker image like this (use either of these images):
singularity pull rstudio-geo_latest.sif docker://rocker/geospatial:latest
And for the base R version available on https://hub.docker.com/r/rocker/rstudio:

Similarly, for the Bioconductor Docker image available on
https://hub.docker.com/r/bioconductor/bioconductor_docker:

RStudio images are also available on Singularity Hub. Obtaining them from Singularity Hub would save disk space occupied by intermediate files during the conversion from Docker.

Save the RStudio image to your project or scratch directory.
This example bind mounts the /project/gstein directory on the host into the Singularity container. By default the only host file systems mounted within the container are $HOME, /tmp, /proc, /sys, and /dev. type in the password you want to set, make it more complicated than this dummy one
