Zarr v3 (the specification) has been around for a while. And zarr-python v3 just released, joining other implementations (for C++, rust, JS etc). The v3 format supports sharding, which is beneficial for reducing metadata overhead in local FS and HPC storage systems.
Is v3 currently supported in kvikio? And if not, is there a plan to add this feature?
