Hi,

I'd like to submit the following project to Rails girls:
https://github.com/suhrawardi/memorizr

Memorizr is an online application, which users can use to share and discuss quotes (from existing web pages), attachments (images or other files) and notes (in HTML format). It's (for instance) used for a community (agile filmmaking) film project.

This project is based on an old project that was gathering dust in a private Git repository. I open sourced it in the beginning of this year.

There's still a lot to do. The open issues are just the beginning:
https://github.com/suhrawardi/memorizr/issues

Besides that, I would like to make installation and configuration easy and as platform independent as possible. The project is also in need of documentation and exposure... Especially the exposure I'm not to good at myself. :-)
There is a lot of room for refactoring, and I'm open for ideas about other/new features.

I would be very happy to mentor!

Jarra

This sounds like a great project to me, and I would be very happy to help mentor this project!

I would be interested! I have to find a pair preferably in London!

I would be interested as well! Although I am in Bristol and still a beginner at coding :(

@challenger-app: Nice to hear that you want to work on this project as well. You have to find a coach etc yourself and submit the proposal. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions etc.

@suhrawardi hello.! It would be good to know how your project looks like after Aksada DM's (a woman a men?,The Github profile doesn't give a hint. Rails Girls is gender specific)contribution. That will be easier for me and my pair to set a working plan. Perhaps, it is better to start contributing when the projects and pairs are chosen?

@helenemartin: As Memorizr is an open source project, anyone (including myself) can work on any issue or feature and send a pull request. I'm still working on it myself as well (but haven't reached a coherent commit yet).
You can just make proposal / working plan. Don't need to be afraid that the work is done already...

It might be good to share your idea for a working plan here, so you can all check whether you are not submitting a similar plan..? How about that?

Hi,
I and my pair @Disha-Shah would love to work on this project but we don't have a coach yet. It would be highly appreciable if you or @jochemsiegel could act as our coach/mentor. Or for that matter anyone who wants to coach/mentor us on this proposal is most welcome!

Hi @NitikaAgarwal , you have to find a coach yourself. And I think that you would benefit most of a coach you can meet in real life. But I do want to mentor. There are some pairs interested to apply for Memorizr already. But I can mentor 2 (or 3) and @jochemsiegel is willing to mentor as well.

@NitikaAgarwal: Think that the RGSoC can help you to find a coach as well. Please check the website for a lot of information, it has a lot more information than when I last visited it... :-)
