The Scripting Layer for Android (abridged as SL4A, and previously named Android Scripting Environment or ASE) is a library that allows the creation and running of scripts written in various scripting languages directly on Android devices. After having integrated it, QPython continue to develop and extend SL4A project to meet QPython's need, it's QPysl4a project.

SL4A Facade for USB Serial devices by Android USB Host API.
It control the USB-Serial like devices from Andoroid which has USB Host Controller .

Android device which has USB Host controller (and enabled in that firmware).
Android 4.0 (API14) or later.
USB Serial devices (see [Status](#Status)).
USB Serial devices were not handled by Android kernel.
