Next week I am planning to start working on the plate map tracking, including the well location.

I am envisioning two pieces to this
A plate page that has a gird representing a 96 well plate. This page would be used to edit existing plate, create new plates, and fill in the blank row in a plate.
A well can be selected from the barcode scanner. Ideally similar to the date popup box, where you can select form plates with empty space, and then click a well on those plate.
@meganap do you know of any existing open source javascript grid code that would be useful for this type of grid display?

Do you guys thing this is a reasonable design? Or should we be implementing this a different way?

Adding the lab group for comment but this sounds awesome…especially if there is compatibility to/from an Excel-readable spreadsheet and/or google spreadsheet.
