Currently Cosmic Panel offers only five fixed size options in XS, S, M, L, and XL, selectable via a slider in the Settings app. This approach limits user customization. If none of the predefined sizes suit a user’s preference, they have no way to adjust the panel and icon sizes to a comfortable value.
The solution
Instead of hardcoding these sizes it would be more flexible to define them in the configuration file. This way the config could store specific values for the panel, icons, and other elements instead of abstract size categories like XS, S, M, L, and XL. The Settings app’s UX could remain unchanged as the slider would still map to the predefined sizes. However, users would also have the freedom to manually adjust the sizes in the configuration file if none of the presets work for them.
