quesition about the development environment

Quesition about environment: Python 2.7 or 3.5? the version of MATLAB ,and is Windows 7 ok?

- Python 2.7. - MATLAB 2014a is used, but the version should not affect the result since it only used for data format conversion, not in the calculation. - I did this project on Ubuntu, not sure if windows is okay or not.
