Hello - I am running version 1.6.0 on Mac OS 10.15.17 - I have tried various versions, and transcripts continue to stall and never finish loading. I only downloaded 'autoEdit-3-1.6.0.dmg' and not the other files on GitHub. But it had worked for me in the past, using both of the offline softwares (Deepspeech and the other one). Any help is appreciated- thanks! :)

👋 @leithall21 could you try with the latest version 1.6.5-alpha.0 and confirm whether the problem is still present in Mac OS 10.15.17?

if that also doesn't work, was there a version you had before that worked on Mac OSX 10.15.17, eg 1.3.3?

I'll try that now- thanks! Do I download the file ending in x64 or arm64? Or does it not matter?

Answering 2nd Q: 1.0.5 worked for a while, but I realize that might've been with an earlier version of MacOS before I updated. 1.0.6 worked for 1 or 2 transcripts recently, but for the majority it stayed loading forever.

Ok, x64 is Intel based Mac. arm64 is the new silicon CPU.

let me know how it goes, if it still doesn’t work there are other troubleshooting steps we can try.

Ok, I updated with x64. 45 minute audio files worked in a timely manner, but there were a few ~2 hour files that never finished. Might it be a problem related to length/would it help to chop them into shorter files?

Thanks!

And tried those files with both Pocketsphinx & AssemblyAI

You had the ~2 hour files issue never finishing, with both AssemblyAI and Pocketsphinx on x64 version on v 1.6.5-alpha.0?

I'm also unable to download the Deepspeech model. It says 'Downloading Deepspeech model' for days straight and won't finish

if you do

cmd + option + i

it should open the inspector in autoEdit, and in the Console tab could you see if you see any errors? (see if you can share a screenshot.

These sessions resets every time you close the app, you'd have to try it next time.

Also the settings, have a separate inspector and console from the main window app

The console refuses to open for me, but I have the same problem

@pietrop Screenshot of the error when you click on Download:

Could it (hopefully) be as simple as manually downloading the model and popping it in the right directory?
