INSTRUCTIONS

These are the source files for my piece Brutal Summers about recent hot summers in Australia.

The piece is available at http://monicol.co.uk/brutal_summers.html

You can view the pdf version on github

You should be able to obtain the files and data below. Start R_Studio. Change to the folder containing brutal_summers.Rmd and load the script. Knitr should compile the HTML file.

brutal_summers.pdf - PDF version of final dfocument brutal_summers.html - html final document brutal_summers.Rmd - R markdown document to compile HTML
styles.css - stylesheet used for HTML
/data - temperature data files
good_stations_near_ouyen.txt - List of stations used
stations_near_oujen.txt - all stations found near Ouyen
