Add Nine (and Aqua Mail) as further mentions for Android Email Clients #387
-
With the current state of Android email clients, I would suggest adding in Nine, and possibly Aqua Mail as further mentions in the Android Email client section. There are limitations with regards to K9 and Fairmail and (subjectively) a much worse user experience (though K9 has improved quite a bit), so adding in some choices that while propietary, have better privacy policies than most seems like good information for users to take a look at. They do not store emails nor passwords on their servers, and provide encryption options (love this feature in Nine), and is well optimized for tablets. While paid, I think the tradeoff for a one time payment for 10-15 dollars is worth the peace of mind that data is not being collected. Part of this comes from Canary Mail being suggested for iOS (which also has an Android client), so mentioning options for those who can't really get the hang of using the FOSS options seems to be better than having them just go back to using Gmail. Nine is a payed app, works okay but I doubt many people are willing to pay for an email client. That besides the app sending data to google see: Aqua Mail sends your data to Facebook, Google, Adjust. This really has no place on this website |

yes canary does so as well. That's why it isn't recommended for android and only for ios :)
