WSL1 is not supported due to bugs like microsoft/WSL#8219. You'll have to switch to WSL2 instead.

Maybe only part of the software doesn't work?
However, none of the software installed using the latest version of brew will work.

Bad address due to this commit Homebrew/brew@031bd9c.
It works fine after i revert this commit at 3.6.18 moeshin/brew@f92967b.

I roll back the version to solve the problem

first uninstall all

Bad address due to this commit Homebrew/brew@031bd9c.
It works fine after i revert this commit at 3.6.18 moeshin/brew@f92967b.

Use the latest WSL2 (wsl.exe --update and wsl.exe --set-version <name> 2) and it will work. The issue only happens on older WSL - I've tested the latest WSL2 and it works fine.

I'll look into the patchelf stuff more since it might be the same as what affects RHEL, but it won't be quick so I recommend updating WSL if you want a quick fix as WSL1 is not updated much by Microsoft anymore and there's been other issues in the past like gzip not working.

I'm stuck having to use WSL1. Switching back to 3.6.7 has resolved the issue for me. Thank you for the detailed workaround.
